In the life of a society full of diversity in terms of religion, race, ethnicity
and groups within Islam, conflicts often occur which basically can result in
feuds, disputes and competition between Islamic groups and inter-religious
competition, one of which we often encounter is wrongdoing. The
understanding of adherents of a religion towards the attitudes or behavior of
other religions can even occur among their religions. Therefore, to deal with
this matter, it is very necessary to have tolerance and brotherhood from each
individual who has a diversity of races, ethnicities and religions, as
happened in SMP Negeri 4 Lamongan that in the process of Islamic
religious and moral education carried out by teachers there is an inculcation
of tolerance and brotherhood through learning activities in schools and other
religious activities.
Islamic religion in implementing an attitude of tolerance and brotherhood in
SMP Negeri 4 Lamongan with the formulation of the problem, namely: (1)
How is the implementation of Islamic religious education in implementing
an attitude of tolerance and brotherhood in SMP Negeri 4 Lamongan? (3)
What is the impact of applying an attitude of tolerance and brotherhood in
the implementation of Islamic religious education at SMP Negeri 4
Lamongan?
The results of the study show that: 1) Application of PAI Learning to
Realize Tolerance and Brotherhood in Lamongan 4 Public Middle School,
namely:(a) Flag Ceremony; b) provide an understanding of science so that
religious people do not hate each other; c) commemoration of Islamic
holidays; d) Actions that strengthen tolerance and brotherhood; e) Is
universal and does not discriminate against students. f) maintain respect and
respect; 2) The influence of the implementation of education on the
implementation of tolerance and brotherhood in SMP Negeri 4 Lamongan
includes:a) Creation of a pleasant and conducive learning atmosphere; b)
School runs smoothly and tolerance is high. c) Develop an attitude of mutual
respect, respect and accept differences; d) Realization of religious harmony
in diversity.
