Indonesian society has a lot of diversity in its state, including diversity in
religion, culture, ethnicity, regional languages and also social status. Differences
can sometimes be something that unites people, but also can sometimes become
conflicts between religions, cultures, ethnic groups and social values. The early
state of Madrasah Diniyah Nurul Jannah was met with a lot of disapproval from
the community because it was considered something bad, not even once or twice
the head of the Madrasah Diniyah was visited by some residents and threatened to
kill him. However, thanks to the strong determination of the madin head to
maintain what he has done, of course with good and convincing attitudes and
words and giving knowledge that the aim of establishing this Madrasah Diniyah is
none other than to provide religious education and produce the next generation
who have noble character and can be useful for society.
The type of approach that researchers use is a qualitative approach because
qualitative research is a form of procedure in research that produces descriptive
data, in the form of written or oral data from people, behavior and events that can
be studied as research objects. a case study which examines in detail from a
background, a subject or it can also be from a particular event, and also this type
of case study can be interpreted as a research strategy that examines in detail a
background, a subject or a particular event. The social reality of the surrounding
community.
In Madrasah Diniyah there are various communities, therefore it is felt that
there is a need for education providers who are able to instill character in students
who can properly address this diversity without divisions between fellow
communities. The establishment of this madrasah diniyah is the answer to this
problem. In line with that, Madrasah Diniyah Nurul Jannah has really worked on
how the value of moderation grows in the souls of the Santri. A teacher who
becomes a teacher and educator has a very big role in the continuation of the
cultivation of this moderation value.
It is hoped that the results of this study will also be useful for education
providers or teachers who may wish to apply the values of moderation, although
the results of this study also allow for in-depth follow-up in developing and
instilling the values of moderation.
